The itinerant exhibition on fire prevention Stop the foc can be visited on the first floor of the House of Culture of Denia from today until the next November 19. Organized by the Directorate General of Forest Fire Prevention of the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment, Climate Change and Rural Development, the exhibition aims to bring the problem of forest fires to the population from a globalized perspective, highlighting the values ​​of the Mediterranean forest in how much wealth in biodiversity, where the flora and fauna intertwine in a complex and fragile balance.


 
Through the nine panels that make up the exhibition are exposed the importance of the forest, the factors that degrade it and those that strengthen it, the importance of what we gain or lose if we do not take care of it, the causes of the fires and their investigation, the guidelines to follow in the forest, the importance of collaboration in active prevention, where we can all be the "eyes of the mountain", and, finally, the material means and actions are shown with which a rapid and effective intervention is achieved at the beginning of a fire, essential to prevent it from becoming uncontrollable. The visit to the exhibition will be guided by an expert person.
 
The Department of Environment and Climate Change has also coordinated school visits to the exhibition during their stay in Dénia.
