Laurence Rastell finished fifth in his KM Vertical National Master category

The athlete Laurence Rastell, belonging to the Athletics Club Baleària Diànium, comes to participate as a component of the Valencia National Team in the Vertical Km Spain Championship that took place in the Sierra Nevada ski resort. In this competition, Laurence finished the test in the 64 position of the General Women's Absolute classification. In its Master category it was fifth with a time of 1 hour and 8 minutes, to 5 seconds of the fourth classified.

In the test 400 participants belonging to 11 autonomous communities, who had to cover a plot of 4.800 meters. The exit was taken at 2.150 meters of altitude and the arrival was installed at the 3.100. All the participants had to fight with an unexpected guest, the wind. The strong gusts forced the start of the test to be delayed by half an hour as wind gusts of 120 km / hour were overcome.

Laurence felt very happy with her performance as it was a very tough test and more at 3.000 meters of altitude where oxygen is scarce and the strong wind added. The level is very high since this test also counts as 3ª test of the Cup of Spain of Vertical Km.

Your friend and companion, the xabienc Nasio Cardona, of CA Llebeig Xàbia, finished the course in a time of 48 minutes and 34 seconds, which made him occupy the 56 position of the male absolute classification, being the 15º of his category Veteran A.
