The awarded tapas in the XVI edition of the Route

The prizes of the 16th edition of the GuiaME Dénia Tapas Route were delivered today at a ceremony held in the Plaza del Consell. The organization has had to wait seven months since the end of the edition, on March 15, to be able to schedule the awards ceremony for the winning restaurants and the participating public. With the enthusiasm and desire intact, the winners have collected their recognitions and rewards from the mayor, Vicent Grimalt, Diego Mena, member of the board of the Association of Hospitality and Tourism Entrepreneurs of the Marina Alta (Aehtma) and Manolo and Frank Marti, representatives of GuiaME Comunicació and managers of the organization. A representative of the Dianense company has also delivered prizes fire Spreading and the director of the shopping center Portal de la Marina, Virginia Carrasco.

The winning restaurant of this XNUMXth Tapas Route has been Bonanotte for its dish 'Provençal Duck Gratin', a cannelloni of duck confit covered with boletus bechamel over hazelnut and foie rains and crispy Parmesan. Its owner, Jorge Lemos, has received a commemorative plaque, together with a terrace faló, courtesy of Fuego Difusión and a tasting lunch or dinner for two at the invitation of the restaurant Mena.

The second classified has been the Entrearomas restaurant, run by Óscar Domínguez and Julia Schirweit, and who competed in this edition of the route with their 'Pulp @ tatas revolconas', some tumbled potatoes with rock octopus, quail egg and putxero broth . His award consisted of a plaque of recognition and a dinner and one night stay at the La Font d'Alcalà hotel, in Alcalà de la Jovada.

The Aehtma award chosen by a technical jury and endowed with a commemorative plaque and a gastronomic experience of haute cuisine in Dénia for two people has been for Cova Tallà, which made a millefeuille of Iberian pork cheeks with nuts and potato parmentier, baptized as "El lechón de la Cova".

The award awarded by Dénia Tourism to the best tapa made with indigenous product has gone to "Mar del Val", a cannelloni stuffed with sea bass with Dénia cuttlefish ragout presented by the restaurant La Xerna del Mar.

Lastly, the prize awarded by GuiaME Comunicació went to La Latería, a market stall that produced the cover "La ruta del bacalao", a smoked cod montadito with avocado, tomato, cucumber, onion and wakame seaweed.

In the section of prizes for participants in the route, which are chosen by lottery among those who have filled out and delivered their valuation passport with a minimum of 15 scored tapas, the winners are: Heinz Tomasich (tapas dinner for two at the Bonanotte restaurant, winner of the first prize on the route); Mª Jesús Fernández (tapas dinner for two at Entrearomas restaurant, winner of the second prize on the route); William Labarde (tapas for two in La Xerna del Mar, a Dénia Tourism Award-winning establishment); Ursula Schmitz-Lanske (tapas dinner for two at La Cova Tallà restaurant, winner of the Aehtma award); and Ramón Rodríguez Álvarez (winner of a dinner, hotel night and breakfast for two at the hotel Les Rotes, gift of Aehtma).

Finally, in the raffle carried out among the twelve riders who have scored the 40 competing tapas through the Rutappa App, Mercedes Tallada Carpinell was the winner. The prize, sponsored by the Portal de la Marina shopping center, consists of a 500 euro gift card for purchases in the establishments of the shopping area.

New edition

To conclude, Manolo Martí has ​​announced that the 29th Tapas Route begins on October 22, which will last until November XNUMX. This new edition adapts to the context in which we live and introduces some new features such as the disappearance of the passport from the route in printed paper format. The passport, which lists all the participating restaurants and bars with a photo and description of each of the tapas, can be downloaded with a QR code.

Voting for the tapas, which until now could be done in the route's paper passport, can only be done through the Rutappa app.
