17 June 2021 - 14: 05

The night of Sant Joan, in all beaches of Dénia, access, permanence and use will be prohibited between 21:23 p.m. on the 7rd and 24:19 a.m. on June XNUMX. This measure, approved by decree, aims to prevent "the risks of concentration of groups of people on the beaches and the practices related to the party that could imply non-compliance with the sanitary regulations for protection against the COVID-XNUMX pandemic" .

In addition to the closure of the beaches, the Dénia City Council has agreed complementary measures to guarantee compliance with the prohibition:

The Local Police service will be reinforced to prevent the organization of bottles and other annoyances derived from the festive atmosphere in the public space, in coordination with the National Police.

The COVID informants of the beaches will notify users, during the day of the 23rd and until 21.30:XNUMX p.m., of the measures that must be fulfilled at night.

And during that period of time, the red flag (bathing prohibited) will fly on all beaches.

Likewise, it is recalled that the municipal ordinance of management and safety in the use, enjoyment and exploitation of the beaches prohibits: "Carry out fire directly on the beach floor." The same ordinance regulates that "the competent administration may temporarily close the domain for public use when circumstances so advise, to avoid risk to the safety or health of users or in other abnormal or exceptional situations", as is the current case. in which the pandemic situation is still in force and the Ministry of Health has expressly requested "caution and protection measures for citizens to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 disease."
