One more year, the Dénia City Council and the Local Board Fallera are joining together to celebrate a Fallera blood donation day, reaffirming their commitment to solidarity and health. The charity event will take place on Wednesday, February 21, from 17:00 p.m. to 20:30 p.m. at the Dénia Youth Building.
As the Councillor for Public Health has highlighted, Rafa Carrió"We are once again joining forces in this donation with the aim of making the initiative more visible and incorporating new donors, who are vital for the sustainability of the health system. It is an opportunity for the Fallas community and all citizens to demonstrate their commitment to life."
The donation is organised by the Fallera Local Board together with the Dénia City Council and the Valencian Community Transfusion Centre, and has the support of the health professionals who will be in charge of the procedure.
The poster for this edition, designed by Adela Marzà, represents the diversity of each falla through its colours, transmitting a message of solidarity: “All together we celebrate, all together we give life.”
The requirements to donate blood are to be between 18 and 65 years old, weigh more than 50 kilos and not come on an empty stomach.
As an additional incentive, the council will award the "Cor Faller" banner on the day of the Fallas awards, to the most supportive committee during the donation day, recognizing their involvement and effort in this cause.
"The Fallas "They are much more than just celebration and tradition, they are also an example of solidarity. With this donation, we reinforce the message that together, we can save lives," Carrió concluded, encouraging all citizens to join the initiative.
