Farewell tears in the last ordinary plenary session of the Dénia legislature

May 25 from 2023 - 21: 16

Like every last Thursday of the month, no matter how much electoral campaign we are immersed in, it was time for ordinary plenary session. May's. Without exception. And it has been, without a doubt, the most emotional plenary session of the legislature, since it has been the last for many of the councilors from different groups.

María Mut, Óscar Mengual, Maite Pérez, Elisabet Cardona and Eva Round. They have been one of the most visible faces of different formations, some have also been in charge of various municipal departments. What unites them, however, is that they have taken a step back and will cease to be representatives of Dénia.

The plenary session has passed normally, until the time for questions and requests. There the emotions have exploded and many have not been able to hold back the tears. The interventions of each group have served to review the legislature, remember anecdotes and say goodbye to those already named. In fact, they themselves have taken the floor to say goodbye, wishing each other the best and thanking them for their work and collaboration, regardless of the colors of the formation.

I have lived many years in Madrid and I can say that in this sense Denia's policy is exemplary. There they are all slashes, here there are differences but with dialogue. thanks to all groups

Well, if that is your vision, it is that you have not had much time to assess; I have been living here for many years, and I do not share your opinion, the bad slime is a reality.

On the other hand, I lived in Madrid for a few years, for life reasons; and he was delighted with the policies of the city council, nothing to do; It is not to go against it, it is that I had never seen the infrastructures of the city and the council itself work so well; all the services, and when I returned to Denia I felt very ashamed for the town hall that we have and its poor functioning, it is very provincial as you say there.

      • Alfred says:

What are you doing here then?
Come back to Madrid!! What is paradise!!

        • paco says:

haha I was expecting this answer, let's see you seem, I say you seem, inut*l, predictable, do you know what self-criticism is and learning from others? Do you know what it is to see the world and want the best for your loved ones? oh no, provincial. Maybe I was born here before your wing to shut up the rude without education, because they are treated like you sheep. Go on vacation to see if you learn something about the world.

I know the two municipalities very well. Madrid is undoubtedly much better infrastructurally. But the politics there are much less consensual.

        • Ignacio says:

You know the two “municipalities”…Madrid, the capital of Spain, and Denia, a coastal town, which they insist on calling a city and because it does not have a sad Cathedral. Denia is like another neighborhood in Madrid. They cannot be compared. If I were talking about Valencia or Alicante, still, but Denia? Come go…

        • paco says:

Living in "madrid", it goes without saying that it doesn't have to be the capital of Madrid, if you know it that much you will know that there are municipalities very close to the capital of Madrid and it goes without saying when you say you live in Madrid, whatever you say. I only say that there, not necessarily the city council of the capital but of nearby municipalities, well, it was nice. and then you come home and you are ashamed of what you have here. also all facing each other. as you can read in this "forum". Regrettable. Fortunately there are people like Ignacio with a critical spirit who are not offended like you for criticizing the place where we live.

    • Paco says:

PS: I don't know what dialogue there can be with roller policies. It is unfortunate…

    • Ignacio says:

Antonio, take off your child's blindfold as an eternal tourist. And do you thank these caciques for? Hahahaha…it's the sun…That the PP have kicked out and replaced their representatives from their party, in Denia and Calpe, without notifying them with a kick and into the street. Does that seem correct to you? Remember Rita Barberà, poor Rita, the pioneer of stabbing in the back for her own colleagues. Here things are done that way, among other specialties they have. The grandfather of the PP, the son of the PSOE and the grandson of Compromis are not fighting over this, Antonio, because they are all living off the System so richly.
