The City Council of La Xara has already signed the certificate of reception of the works of the new House of Culture, financed with part of the Special Plan to Support Productive Investment in Municipalities of the Generalitat (Pla PIP, old Pla Confianza) assigned in Dénia.
The action, valued at € 215.198, has consisted of adapting the old schools of the Xara to adapt them to the new use as House of Culture.
The mayor of La Xara, Maite Pérez, has highlighted that this project involves "the enhancement of the old school building, a place of great sentimental value that, thanks to this action, we have been able to recover for the people".
The new House of Culture is a multifunctional space with meeting and rehearsal rooms, "very necessary to stimulate the associations and the cultural and festive activity of the Xara", Pérez added.
