The UNED Dénia celebrates the reception day for Undergraduate, Master, Doctorate and CUID students

This week the Welcome Talks were held for new students to Bachelor, Master and CUID at UNED Dénia. The conference could be followed by videoconference from the Benidorm classroom and live online.

The event was chaired by the management team. The Director of CA UNED Dénia, Raquel Martí, presented to all the teaching staff, management staff and student representation.

After welcoming the student body, he stressed that “We are all at your service, you are here to do something very important that will benefit you in your professional and personal life” commenting in relation to the special context generated by Covid-19 that “the classes will be with both modalities, face-to-face and online (…) so that students are attended at all times, both virtually and in person (…) "

Next, the teaching staff introduced themselves, encouraging the new students, and offering their total willingness to help them in everything they might need related to their studies, a spirit expressed through the words of Mª Ángeles Menéndez, Academic and Quality Coordinator of the CA UNED Dénia, who emphasized that “… As Academic Coordinator you have me at your disposal for everything you need related to everything that is academic, tutorials, classes, tutors (…) The Center is working and always trying to put itself at your service and get everything you need to you are necessary. "

The Student Delegate of the Associated Center to the UNED in Dénia, Ángeles Pérez Vivo, emphasized the importance of attending classes both in person and online, "it is practically proven that whoever attends the classes, who attends, is much more likely to pass and pass the subject or course successfully ”.

Then the first exhibition took place, made by Carmen Más, Coordinator of the COIE (Center for Orientation, Information and Employment), who gave general information about the University and how the Associated Center of Dénia is organized in terms of the services it offers, the face-to-face and virtual classes, academic and course offerings
specialized, how and where the exams are taken and finally, some advice on how to face the face-to-face tests.

The following intervention was in charge of Claudia Peter, CUID Coordinator of the Center Associated with the UNED in Dénia, who reported on the operation of the UNED language center (CUID), equivalent to many institutes and language classrooms of other universities in the world, highlighting as a novelty the teaching of the B1 level of Russian.

The next two talks were on computing resources. The first, on the website of the center www.uneddenia.es and email by David Canet, Technological Coordinator of the Center Associated to the UNED of Dénia; and the second on how to access and use the UNED CAMPUS by María Pellicer, Head of Virtualization of the Associated Center of the UNED in Dénia.

Finally, Carolina Artigues, as a PAS representative, gave information on the services offered by the UNED Dénia, Benidorm and Xàbia, and the support for the registration offered by the Secretary of Students, with an uninterrupted schedule from 9:30 to 21 hours.
