OPINION | Gent of Dénia
While PSPV, Compromís y PP While they accuse each other of blocking the construction of a second seniors' home in Dénia, the reality is clear: public funds have already been lost, and our seniors remain neglected. The same old policy, based on "you too," once again fails those who need it most.
What about the primary residence?
The current Santa Lucía residence is also in danger. Its entire floor is out of compliance, and if urgent action is not taken, partial closure could lead to a complete shutdown. This situation requires immediate intervention, which no one is addressing.
Faced with the paralysis of the two-party system, the Dénia people propose a real and viable solution:
A company specializing in residential centers is willing to finance and build a second home in Dénia. This initiative would even allow the City Council to leverage the project already drafted, thus shortening the timeframe.
The proposal includes the adaptation of the current Santa Lucía residence to ensure its continued operation in compliance with current regulations.
The subsequent management of the residence (public, mixed, or private) will be a decision of the City Council and the public.
The people of Dénia are not here to add fuel to the fire, but to solve the city's real problems. Regardless of the government's political affiliation, and using municipalism as a useful tool, we advocate for a management model centered on people, not confrontation.
For 42 years, we've been demonstrating that another way of doing politics is possible. Today, we're proving it again.
Where's the money? That's the problem, and everyone knows what's going on. But they keep quiet and look the other way.
What a shame!!!!!!!! We don't deserve this
