The first International Congress of Wine Routes took place last Monday in Alba, Italy. An event in which the Ruta dels Riuraus de Jesús Pobre participated, invited and selected by Iter Vitis Spain, a cultural association of the Council of Europe that unites some twenty countries with the landscape of the vineyard as the common thread and of which the Ruta de Jesús Poor is a founding partner.
Throughout the day, the future of wine tourism was discussed and projects from countries in Portugal, France, Moldova, Herzegovina, South Africa were presented. The Ruta dels Riuraus represented Spain for the uniqueness of the raisin within wine tourism. All the projects exchanged experiences, emphasizing good practices as the core of the meeting.
In the case of the Ruta dels Riuraus, a presentation was made of the three axes of the route: production, transformation and marketing, in addition to the architecture linked to the raisin. As a contribution of good practices, the protection and enhancement of the declaration of intangible BIC of l'Escaldà; the connection of cycling routes with Eurovelo 8; and the presence of the differential gastronomic product of the raisin in the different meetings organized by the network of creative cities of gastronomy around the world.
This congress was organized by the Italian Federation of the Wine, Oil and Flavor Route and Iter Vitis Europe, so the Ruta dels Riuraus has had the opportunity to exchange experiences and make the route known at a European level.
