One of the great lungs of the city of Dénia is undoubtedly the Torrecremada Park. An extension of green in the urban area of Dénia that is divided into two types of park: the Mediterranean and the exotic.
During the first trimester of the course, a total of 415 students from the Pou de la Muntanya, Montgó, Cervantes, Vessanes, Llebeig and Maristas schools have known the park better thanks to the activity Descobrim the Parc de Torrecremada, organized by the Department of Environment of the City of Dénia.
During the guided tour through the park, the schoolchildren, divided into groups, have discovered the main trees, with the help of sheets of animals associated with the tree they eat. They have also been explained the main fruit trees and the difference between the Mediterranean park, which is in the area in front of the house, and the exotic park that we find in the back.
With a visit the urban gardens of the park, have discovered the plants of the autumn-winter season and with sets of plates have identified the process of cultivation, from planting to harvesting. Finally, they have planted a seed in a container of reused yogurt to take home and an aromatic plant in the park.
