The Civic Platform of Dénia will request an investigation about the last minute changes of the NUT

20 December 2018 - 17: 22

The Civic Platform of Denia has announced that it will request a commission of inquiry from the City Council and the Generalitat Valenciana to analyze the changes made in the last few days in the Transitory Urban Regulations of Denia (NUT), whose approval is foreseen for this same Friday, 21 of December, in the plenary session of the Consell.

This was announced this Thursday morning, when the deadline imposed by the Ministry for the approval of the document expires. As explained from the Platform, the document that is posted on the website of the Ministry is undergoing constant changes, something they consider "unusual" y "surprising". So much so that from the Platform say they do not know what will be approved tomorrow.

Among other matters, plans have been changed or land is declassified that during the last 30 years was developable, which could pose a serious patrimonial responsibility for the citizens of Dénia.

Jesús Reina, coordinator of the Civic Platform, also affirms that these changes are so substantial that they should be exposed again to the public. Failure to do so, would run the risk of being canceled by a problem of form, as happened in 2013 when the Supreme Court annulled the DUTY RUT.

So, before "lack of ethics" that they observe from the Platform, they offer themselves as collaborators to appear in this commission to investigate the technical and legal reports of both the City Council and the Conselleria.

They left the Consell d'Urbanisme

From the Civic Platform they explained that last Wednesday they decided to leave the Consell d'Urbanisme that was held at the Dénia City Council. In the words of Benito Mestre, it was something that had already been agreed between the CEDMA and the Platform.

Thus, the president of CEDMA read a statement but, to their displeasure with the operation of the Consell, which calls them to inform them of the decisions taken and not to consult with them the decisions to take, they agreed to leave the meeting on Wednesday.

Even so, they affirm that it is a punctual decision and that they continue trusting in the role of the Consell "whenever the objective is fulfilled" by which it was born. The Platform has confirmed that they will participate again in the next Consell, whatever their celebration.
