The past 14 of February, a sentence dictated by the Contentious Administrative Court number Four of Alicante has solved dismissing the resource that presented a company expelled against the resolution of the City council of that contest. In the sentence the judge considers that the action of the City Council was "absolutely adequate and adjusted to law".
It also recalls the obligation of the administration to verify any conflicts of interest and adopt the necessary measures indicating that the City Council acted "to safeguard the principle of free competition and equality between bidders". There is no appeal against the sentence.
The spokesperson for Citizens, Sergio Benito, a member of the recruitment board representing the opposition, then defended the position of the City Council, and now wanted to take the opportunity to support the operation of the contracting table in which both the government, with the council of finance Paco Roselló (PSPV), as opposition are represented by two councilors, and the majority are technical officers.
