The installation of open multi-sport tracks in different parts of the city is the proposal most voted for by citizens in the 2023 Participatory Budgets

The voting process for the 2023 Participatory Budgets concluded on November 28 with a total of 1.535 people participating, who could each choose three actions from the proposals. Among the 26 proposals that could be voted on, selected by a municipal technical commission based on their feasibility of execution, the installation of multi-sport courts for the free practice of ball sports in different parts of the city has been the most voted action, with a total of 580 votes.

The second most successful proposal, with 494 votes, is to enable a pedestrian itinerary at the foot of the Montgó that runs along the Pozo de la Montaña path, the Colonia path, the Water Cave, the stalker of Santa Llúcia and the path of San Juan; and, thirdly, with 340 votes, the installation of public drinking fountains distributed throughout the city has been requested.

The shading of playgrounds (318 votes); the improvement of the surroundings of the Joan Fuster pavilion, with landscaping and planting of trees, conditioning of the sidewalks and an artistic performance on the façade with graphite (267 votes); the lighting of the promenade Marineta Cassiana (253 votes) and the improvement in the facilities and the pavement of the greenway (205 votes) are the next proposals that have collected the largest number of votes.

The list of improvements prioritized by the citizens will be carried out until the economic item allocated this year to the Participatory Budgets is exhausted, in $400.000. An item that the municipal government has increased by $50.000 compared to the previous exercise.
