May 03 from 2021 - 16: 36

The President of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, has announced that the aid from the Resistir Plus Plan, which includes aid for the Valencian Community amounting to 647 million euros, will be extended to approximately 80 new economic activities, not initially included in the Government's royal decree law, in order to cover all the sectors most affected by the crisis.

This was explained by the president after the meeting with the president of the Business Confederation of the Valencian Community (CEV), Salvador Navarro; the general secretary of CCOO-PV, Juan Cruz, and with the general secretary of UGT-PV, Ismael Sáez. The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Finance and Economic Model, Vicent Soler, and the Minister of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Trade and Labor, Rafa Climent.

Ximo Puig has also advanced in a press conference that the Consell will approve next Friday the decree law that regulates the regulatory framework that will govern the management of the Plan Resistir Plus funds, and has remarked that the central government will transfer the 647 million, so that aid can be called in the shortest possible time.

With this regional decree law, which, as it has specified, "has been evaluated favorably by social agents", it seeks to "open the spectrum", with the aim that no company that was viable in 2019 is forced to close because of the crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic, he said.

The head of the Consell has also underlined the importance of understanding "social dialogue" as an "end in itself", which makes possible an "effective alliance" with employers and trade unions, and has stressed that the Plan Resistir Plus intends that the aid provide "a parenthesis through which companies can move to reach viability in the second half of the year."

For this purpose, the head of the Consell has underlined that the initial coverage of this Plan will be expanded, initially planned for 95 sectors, so that it will reach around 80 additional economic activities (60 of them industrial in nature; 12, of type commercial, and the rest, belonging to the cultural and educational field).

Industrial sectors

In this way, it has been agreed to include in the Valencian aid manufacturing sectors whose turnover has been seriously affected by the pandemic in 2020; specifically, with a fall in the average turnover of the sector of more than 20%. These sectors include the leather and footwear sector, and the clothing industry.

In addition, it also joins manufacturing sectors with an average drop of more than 8% and that either have a higher specialization in the Valencian Community or have had more than 1.000 people on the workforce affected by ERTE throughout the period of the pandemic. These include the textile, ceramics, plastic or toy industries.

Trade sectors

In addition, the Plan Resistir Plus will also distribute aid in the Valencian Community in sectors of the commerce seriously affected and not contemplated in the royal decree law that regulates this initiative. In total, more than a dozen sectors related to commerce have been incorporated, among which are mainly bookstores, florists, furniture and lighting stores and hairdressers.

Likewise, the possible inclusion of other sectors related to the cultural and educational field is contemplated, such as the development of sports activities taught in camps and schools; as well as the centers of education of revision or specific educations and audiovisual industry.

The president has remarked that it is important to be clear that all beneficiary people and companies must comply with the condition of having had a fall of more than 30% in their operations between 2019 and 2020 and not having presented negative results during the 2019 financial year.

As the president recalled, the maximum amounts that this royal decree-law allows to grant are the following: up to 3.000 for those individuals (people who are self-employed or professionals) who present their economic activities in personal income tax in the estimation regime objective (modules) and between 4.000 and 200.000 for the rest of the self-employed or self-employed or entities as long as they have a drop of more than 30% in their operations, data that will be provided by the Tax Agency through the VAT information.
