04 October 2019 - 12: 29

The Consell has approved the collaboration agreement between the Valencian Agency for Security and Emergency Response (AVSRE) and the Association of Festers of Jesús Pobre for the organization of training courses for Consumers Recognized as Experts (CRE) in the use of articles pyrotechnics

This association participates in festivities with the use of pyrotechnics such as the patron saint festivities in honor of Jesús Pobre (May/June), Cabrerot festivities (October), Mercat de Nadal y Three Kings (December) and Mercat de Pasqua (April), among others.

The courses are intended to protect the participants in this type of celebration. They are aimed at raising public awareness of the possible risks that may arise from improper use of pyrotechnic products and, fundamentally, the prevention, articulation and dissemination of action protocols in the event of an accident during the celebration of their religious holidays, cultural and / or traditional.

The AVSRE promotes the realization of training courses through business associations, cultural entities, consumer groups recognized as experts, municipalities, associations, federations, associations, clubs, collas, festive commissions, entities and equivalent organizations linked to the festivities with use of pyrotechnic devices, through the formalization of collaboration agreements.

To date, 38 collaboration agreements have been signed, 750 training courses have been given. In addition, a total of 33.555 people have obtained the certification as Consumers Recognized as Experts (CRE) in the use of pyrotechnic material.

Gunpowder and tradition

The Valencian Community is characterized by the conservation and promotion of the festivities celebrated in the municipalities throughout its territory, most of which are linked to deep-rooted traditions regarding the use of gunpowder.

Together with this promotion and conservation of the Valencian culture and festive tradition, the Consell places its efforts on the principle of safety and correct use of the pyrotechnic articles that are going to be used in this type of events, guaranteeing normality in the adequate realization of the celebrations in which they are used.

The order 1 / 2012 of the Consell regulates the formation of the Consumers Recognized as Experts (CRE) in the manifestations of religious, cultural or traditional character celebrated in the Valencian Community in which pyrotechnic devices are used: cordà, passejà, correfoc, awaà and any other traditional modality equivalent to these.

To publicize the content of these courses, AVSRE has created a computer platform whose access is available through the address: check here.

This platform includes the entity that organizes the training of the course; course completion date; campus; training modalities; qualification of the test carried out and introduction of the qualification obtained (apt / unfit) of the students in the group.
