The CiudArt room Hospital de Dénia will host from the 4 in October and until the 3 in November, the photographic exhibition From San Martín de Porres to Obout: 10 years of Recover, organized by Recover Foundation, Hospitals for Africa with the aim of inviting society to know the work done by the NGO in Cameroon throughout its first ten years of life.
The exhibition, which has already been visited in different parts of the country throughout this year, is made up of 43 snapshots by the photographer and also a volunteer of the Silvia Cachafeiro Foundation.
Through the eyes of Cachafeiro, those attending the exhibition will be able to contemplate the reality of health on the African continent, which faces its difficult social and health situation on a daily basis, as well as the different projects that the NGO has carried out in the sub-Saharan African countries where it is present. Among them, Cameroon stands out, where the hospital with which he started his journey is located, the San Martín de Porres, and the Obout clinic, which the Recover Foundation wants to turn into a medical center capable of covering the wide health needs of the area.
In the words of Cachafeiro, "The set of portraits that make up the exhibition aims to be a photographic window to the reality of Cameroon, as well as the social change that is emerging recently around the hospitals that have the support of the Recover Foundation, which, for its part, I has provided the opportunity to witness the valuable work in health that has been carried out in recent years in the country ".
