Fundació Baleària presents solidarity shirts for Save the Children

January 23 from 2019 - 19: 40

Foundation Baleària and Save The Children Melilla presented on Wednesday, within the framework of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR), the project SolidarityARTE, through which T-shirts designed by Ibizan artist Doralice Souza will be sold and whose benefits will go to the work of the Save the Children Foundation in Melilla. In the presentation participated Pepe Guzmán on behalf of the Fundació Baleària, and Raúl Arnaiz, specialist of Strategic Alliances of Save the Children.

The design of the shirts that make up this solidary project is part of the series Mèdousa of the Ibizan painter Doralice Souza, a show that evokes the Greek myth of the Gorgon with the jellyfish as protagonists and that the Fundació Baleària has led to several enclaves like the room It is Polvorí from Eivissa or the Torre dels Ducs de Medinaceli, in the Verger (Alicante).

The price of the shirts is 12 euros and can be purchased at the ticket offices of the maritime station of Dénia (Alicante), as well as in the stores on board the ships of Baleària. It is also scheduled to be available on Amazon in the coming weeks.

The NGO, present in Melilla since the end of 2015, is developing projects in the autonomous city aimed at assisting migrant children with needs of international protection or with special vulnerability. They were the volunteers of the Fundació Baleària those who, through voting, chose to use the t-shirt benefits for these educational, psychosocial and protective projects carried out by Save The Children in the Temporary Immigrant Stay Center (CETI), on the international border and in the care centers of unaccompanied minors from Melilla.
