Federation Moors and Christians from Dénia (FEMMICC) participated last weekend in the festive fair of the Province of Alicante, Expofiesta. An appointment that the organization has described as successful, since hundreds of people came through the Dianense stand to see the great party in Dénia. A delegation from the FEMMICC Dénia, led by the president of the federation, Sonia Pérez, traveled to the Institución Ferial Alicantina.
In this way, they were able to show the party to all the curious and professionals through promotional posters and brochures of the city of Dénia and with a small photographic exhibition of the women at the party, thanks to the collaboration with the Departments of Tourism and Equality. In addition, information about the festival, a selection of books and a small exhibition of playmobil with the different djellabas of les filaes.
The Dianense captains of the year 2022 were also seen by Expofiesta 2023, with their flag bearers and ambassadors. There they were able to discover all the novelties that are presented for pageantry and celebrations, already preparing the next August festivities. The president of the FEMMICC Dénia has been satisfied with the influx of public and the promotion of the Moors and Christians festival in the province.
The UNDEF takes advantage of Expofiesta to hold an assembly
During Expofiesta, an assembly of the National Union of Festive Entities (Undef) was also held with all the representatives of area 5 to which Dénia belongs. At the meeting, aspects such as the treatment of gunpowder and animals in parades were discussed.
As a novelty, the didactic book was presented that will be distributed in all the schools of the Valencian Community on the history of the Moors and Christians festival to make this festival known to the youngest. They consider that this is a way for them to get closer to it and to have educational proposals in their centers.

The assembly also served to take into account the forecast of accounts until the end of the year and it was announced where the next national assembly will be held: it will be in Elche and the seventh demonstration of embassies in Bocairent.
