Last April 17, a meeting was held between the President of the Rowing Federation of the Comunitat Valenciana, Alejandro Ruiz and several members of the Board of Directors and the Mayor of Denia, Vicent Grimalt, the councilor of government, Javier Scotto, and the president of the Club of Rem Dénia, Miguel Camarena.
The suspension of the race scheduled for the 14 in April after the denial of the Provincial Coastal Service was the topic that focused the talks. From the City Council they explained that all the reports requested by the Coastline Service were sent, but that since the denial of the Service was received on the Thursday afternoon prior to the race, there was no material time to make allegations.
The mayor reaffirmed his interest that the canceled race can be held on another date, so that the athletes of the Region can continue enjoying the race organized by the Club de Rem Denia, one of the oldest in the Region. In this sense, both entities agreed to carry out joint actions to guarantee the continuity of the rowing regattas in Dénia.
