The photographic exhibition "Monologue about Chernobyl" arrives at the Hospital de Dénia

12 July 2018 - 10: 07

Breakfast cuidArt of the Hospital de Dénia hosts, until next September 10, the photo exhibition "Monologue on Chernobyl" that shows the devastating consequences that the explosion of reactor number 4 of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant is still causing in the population and environment of the area, 32 years after.

Raúl Moreno, author of the exhibition, teaches, through 25 photographs, the exhibition shows the life of the people who live in that part of the world; focusing especially on food. The author has explained that "The project focuses on the food grown by those who still live there, people who have returned to their villages because they do not know or want to live elsewhere, even though the soil is poisoned and the vegetables they raise in their orchards or the fish that fish in the rivers are contaminated with Cesium-137 ".

The project was awarded, in 2016, in the first edition of the DKV scholarship of the Photography and Journalism Seminar of Albarracín. This scholarship is part of the art program DKV ARTERIA, through which DKV Seguros promotes different actions aimed at promoting artistic creation, as a means of communication and expression, as a motor of health and as a way of fostering personal development.
