House Prunes: this is the name of the fantastic residential work that the architecture studio QB architects has carried out. The house has 420m² and is located in Valencia.
This house is part of a unique urbanization and has a single floor in full contact with the ground, so that the limits between interior and exterior practically vanish.
House Prunes
Casa Prunes is located in a unique urbanization, surrounded by houses. It would be a piece that is closed to the outside by means of a permeable brick wall. The house has a series of different patios that function as transition elements between the different areas and the skylights, which allow the introduction of different types of lighting depending on the needs of each use.
housing landscape
This house is created on a ground floor, very much in contact with the earth, thus blurring the boundaries between exterior and interior. In this way, the landscape becomes an active part of everyday life, creating their own micro landscapes.
A fluid route is created through the patios that function as transition elements, giving each room a different atmosphere. These landscapes intensify with the changes in light from the different skylights.
housing skin
The skin of the house is brick, made of Manual mode, searching sustainable materials.
This skin has a very natural and permeable character, protecting the interior from inclement weather. In addition, it provides privacy to certain rooms, forming skylights that allow light to enter. The brick also acts as a second skin that comforts and gives the home a more domestic, warmer atmosphere, compared to the robustness and hardness of concrete.
