Partners CD Dénia, little more than 300, will have the opportunity that they have demanded so much during the last month. It was finishing the league without achieving the goal of promotion and the social mass asked the acting board to convene the assembly to try to braid the club's path in its future. Today is that day, the members have been summoned at the Casa de la Paraula de Balèaria Port at 20 hours.
Ignoring the executives in office, since there is no directive as such after the march of Gema Estrela and Toni Martí, chose to work for themselves without paying attention to criticism. Without any support from the members, who are after all the sole owners of the club.
During the last month, the work team commanded by the acting president, Juan Benavente, has worked on bureaucratic things, which they said were left by the hand of God. Updating and sending of the statutes for approval, something that they had a year to do and had not done before; register the club in the register of Sports Entities in the Generalitat Valenciana; and, above all, update the list of partners. Some tasks for those who had a year ahead to do, but who did not and waited at the end of the season.
All this caused a climate of despair among members who were not clear about the entity's sporting future. Most of the players who won the league championship left. Benavente talks about his project being with people from the house, the reality is that they searched and found that nobody wants to come to CD Dénia. But neither for the first team nor for the youth teams.
We have looked for a coach who has no experience in the benches, although he does have great enthusiasm and eagerness to work. But to his astonishment, when he has tried to contact players to bring them to Dénia, he has always encountered a negative response.
All this means that, when the preseason has begun, the team lacks pieces to complete it. They have stayed last season: Maxi, Carlos Ribes, Ferrán, Fran, Santafé and Jordi. These are joined by youth who have finished their stage in the category: Álvaro, Santi, Robert and Ahumada. At the moment the signings made by coach Esteban are these: Vicent, Pablo, Kevin and Gabri all from Altea, Josep and Pedro Prats del Pego. With these players the groguet team has started the preseason.
The partners are expected to ask their doubts to the executives in office and it will be necessary to see if these managers get their support. There is a tool that can lead to the convening of elections in the club and that is that the attendees of the assembly present a motion of censure to what was done by Benavente and his team.
The concern is highest among members who do not know what has happened within the club in the last season, but who are aware of what has been told by people who have been there, that the lies have been many and large.
