They judge a man accused of trying to beat four people to death with an iron bar, including a local Pedreguer policeman

The events occurred on June 30, 2019 in Pedreguer when the defendant approached the first of the victims by surprise, whom he did not previously know, and hit her on the head with an iron bar. The man fell to the ground as a result of the impact and the defendant continued to attack him until a neighbor, the daughter of two other victims, began to yell at him from her home. This diverted the attention of the aggressor, who went to the neighbor's house, from which he jumped the fence and began to knock on the door so that they would open it.

At that moment the owner of the house arrived by car, which the defendant also hit on the head. The wife of this second victim, who saw the attack from her home, came out to help her husband, which the defendant took advantage of to brutally beat her on the head and face with a truncheon.

At that moment, two agents of the Local Police arrived against whom the defendant also attacked. One of them, who was forced to shoot, first into the air and then at the legs of the attacker, was hit hard on the head and tried to drive a two-pronged pitchfork into his abdomen. The four injured suffered injuries of varying degrees.

The woman suffered a head injury, broke her nose and the bones of the eye sockets. He required maxillofacial surgery and rehabilitation and it took 195 days for his wounds to heal. The policeman also suffered multiple injuries for which he required surgical treatment.

The Office of the Prosecutor asks for a prison sentence of 49 and a half years for the accused for a crime of attempted murder, three crimes of murder, one of them against a law enforcement officer, and one crime of assault.
