Players of the Dénia Básquet quarry distinguished by their academic excellence

Up to four members of the structure of the Dénia Básquet they have been distinguished in recent days for their academic excellence during the past course 2017-18 by the Department of Education after completing their studies of Primary and Secondary Education, since they all finished these stages with an average score of ten.

In the Auditorium of the Provincial Council of Alicante, awards were given to students born in 2006 who concluded the Primary stage in an outstanding manner.

Sixteen students trained at the Dénia schools were summoned to this act, including Rebecca Fernández Palomares and Martina Roselló Utor, from the Alfa y Omega school, as well as Guido Grosman Martinez, from the Llebeig school.

The three of them play in this important course of the passage to the ESO in the first-year children's teams of the club school. Guido is the one with the most years, since he joined the group four years ago, at the start of the 2015-16 campaign in the Benjamin category.

On the other hand Martina and Rebecca have given this course the step of integrating themselves in the teams of Dénia after playing during all the cycle of primary the local school league with its school, with which they were Benjamín Champions in fourth course and runner-up Alevines last year in sixth.

On the other hand, on Tuesday, March 12, the extraordinary awards for academic performance were presented at the Palau de les Arts in Valencia to the most outstanding students of Secondary Education from the entire Valencian Community, an award that recognizes the sum of talent and united effort , undoubtedly to the indispensable support of the families and of the teachers who lead their steps.

Four students trained in the centers of Dénia attended this meeting, one of them being Vicent Puigcerver Sanz, a student of Sacred Heart School. Vicent, born in 2002, is a veteran of the Basketball school, since he started there in 2008 when he was just six years old, following how could it be otherwise a long family tradition that he shares with parents, uncles, cousins and as not with his brother Pau.

After passing brilliantly for all the base categories always in the highest level of the Valencian Community this year plays in the Junior team of Dénia Básquet, which is already at this time classified for the dispute of the qualifiers for the title of the Preferred category and the promotion to the maximum Autonomic Division, objective pursued to be able to complete the whole formative cycle next year as he and his generation colleagues deserve.

Finally, we must also highlight Adrián Mallol Moreno, a fourth-year ESO student at the Colegio Hermanos Maristas. Adrián was born in 2003 and was the winner, among hundreds of applicants from all over Spain, of one of the Amancio Ortega Foundation Scholarships that will allow him the next year to have the great opportunity to study first for high school in the United States or Canada.

Adrián started playing in the 2010 year in the Prebenjamín category and has been an important part of the remarkable generation 2003 since its start, also passing through the highest sports levels of the Valencian Community on its way to this day.
