Jesús Pobre comes out of the closet to celebrate LGBTI Pride Day

26 June 2019 - 13: 20

Already said Javier Scotto in his investiture: Jesús Pobre is a feminist, tolerant and egalitarian people. Hours after his inauguration as EATIM mayor for the third consecutive term, the LGTBI campaign was presented in the People's Square to commemorate the June 28 Pride Day.

From today, and during the next 15 days, the square will house four cabinets that, under the motto "Let there be none left for l'armari" joins the national campaign of the LGBTI State Federation of Seniors Without Lockers, aimed at the LGBTI collective older than 60 years "They do not comply with current stereotypes and have had to fight for the rights that young people currently enjoy".

The neighbors will be able to write, in chalk, their messages in favor of sexual diversity throughout these days.

Restaurants free of sexual discrimination and LGTBIphobia

The five restaurants of the town have joined this campaign, subscribing with the EATIM a decalogue of good practices and commitment to sexual diversity, declaring their premises as spaces free of discrimination and LGTBIfobia. A sign in addition to the declaration will now appear on all of them.

In addition, the EATIM has distributed 70.000 napkins with three different slogans and logos created especially by graphic designer Sefa for this campaign.
