The awards for the 2025th Dénia XNUMX Theme Photography Competition were announced last Friday. The jury, composed of photographer Xavier Mollà i Revert; Eva Asperilla Olmo, a technician from the Dénia City Council's Tourism Department; and the Councilor for Culture, Raúl García de la Reina; and Mavi Rovira, as secretary, selected the winning entries from a total of 96 photographs. There were 55 in the artistic category and 41 in the tourism category.
This year's edition saw Jake Sadhu Abbott, a photographer from Jesús Pobre, win two awards. His work "Cova tallà" received first prize for best artistic photography, worth 600 euros. Second prize in this category, worth 300 euros, went to Alfredo Sanz Moncho from Diano for his image titled "Boireta."
In the tourism category, first prize went to Paco Costa Cervera, also from Jesús Pobre, for the photograph "Calmes," for which he received 600 euros. Jake Sadhu Abbott repeated on the podium with the image "Gamba," which won second prize, worth 300 euros.
A selection of the participating photographs will be on display in the lobby of the Dénia Cultural Center from April 10 to May 3.
