A very important victory for Bernardo Sanz's men, who keeps the team well positioned in the standings with seven games remaining to finish the regular league. The scoreboard was 96 to 71 in favor of the Senior male 1st national of the Dénia Básquet against Elche.
The people of Elche arrived with significant casualties at this meeting but knew how to compensate them by exploiting their best virtues to stay with all the options until the break.
Dianense attack was very regular during the 40 minutes, managing to break the visiting defense based on quick transitions and a very dynamic static game.
The dominance in the inside game allowed in the second half to increase the differences and consolidate the victory. It also contributed to the local distancing in the second twenty minutes, the better control of the one-on-one defense on which the people of Elche based their attacks, thus limiting their offensive production.
The victory was essential for the team's accounts for the second phase of the competition. The seven matches that remain to be played in this first phase are tremendously complicated, against direct rivals or from the top of the table.
Regional female senior: Dénia Básquet 92 - 54 Ondara
Victory for the seniors who played a good game to close the first phase in first position in group H of the Autonomous category.
Ondara showed that it is a team that never gives up and raised an aggressive defense in the zone that only the extraordinary day in the outside launch of the players of Juan Luis Pérez could disarm.
Despite its youth, the team will once again lead the Dianense club to the fight for promotion to the National category, after two seasons of reconstruction in which it has been giving entry to players trained in the quarry.
Ten teams from Nacional along with the first classified of the eleven regional groups and the three best seconds, will now be divided into six groups of four teams that will play a league that will later lead to the qualifying rounds for the title of the category and the promotions to Nacional for next season.
Junior female level 2: Ondara 18 - 68 Dénia Básquet 04
The Junior team returned to competition with a comfortable meeting in Ondara. The best was undoubtedly the possibility for both teams, a result on the sidelines, of feeling like players again on a basketball court after a break of almost four months in the league, due to the worrying COVID situation in the Valencian Community at the end of December .
The game served to work out new ideas and pick up a rhythm. The first part stood out for the success in our outside shot that was intoned as the match progressed.
After the break, Dénia Básquet's team failed to take advantage of the continuous advantages in superiority that we obtained, with many errors under the ring as a result of the team's logical lack of rhythm.
Junior female level 2: Dénia Básquet 79 - 48 Tavernes
Worked victory for the juniors against the always competitive Tavernes de Valldigna, who was locked in a 3-2 zone throughout the game. In the first half it was very difficult for them to impose their game (39-35).
However, it would be after the break when, thanks to the pressure from Diane throughout the field, we gradually increased the differences until the crash was settled.
With this victory, they finished second in the group and classified together with Ifach Calp to fight both to get the title of the Preferred category and to seek promotion to the Junior Autonomous league for the next campaign.
Four teams from Autonomic and the first two classified from each of the ten Level 2 groups will now be divided into six groups of four teams to play a league that will later lead to the qualifying rounds that will award that title and the corresponding promotions of category.
Autonomous male junior: Dénia Básquet 51 - 69 Vondom Ontinyent
Like last Sunday, they jumped onto the field with a lot of desire to do well and continue in the ascending line that we have been demonstrating, against a team with a remarkable physique that we knew was not going to make things easy for us
Good start to the game competing the first twenty minutes from you to you against the rival to reach four points low at halftime.
The strong departure of the Ontinyent team in the third period, however, left the game practically resolved, achieving a partial of +16 points favorable to their interests by knowing how to take advantage of our mistakes and clearly outperform us on the rebound.
Those of Ferrán García and Rubén Velázquez did not lower their arms and continued playing trying to do it at their best level. The effort of the team is undeniable and the absolute dedication since the season began. The award is a remarkable individual and collective improvement, that although it has not yet been reflected in the final scores of the matches, it is undoubtedly there for those of us who value and admire these guys.
Autonomous male junior: Montemar 91 - 83 Dénia Básquet 03
The Junior Autonomous Dénia Basketball team played one of their best games of the season both in attack and defense in Alicante.
They managed to compete from start to finish against one of the teams in the temperate zone of the classification, losing their options only in the last part of the match due to small details that once again deprived us of achieving victory.
The first part was completely from Dénia with a very high level of success in the outside shot and with a lot of solidity in defense. The locals reacted after the break by balancing the score to reach the last moments of the clash equally.
Some errors in defense and in the selection of shots in those last bars condemned us once again to not being able to celebrate a victory that we deserve more and more. Highlight the great behavior and attitude of all the players.
Senior male 1st zone: Oliva 64 - 48 Dénia Básquet
The Dianenses team visited the only undefeated team in the group, on a track that is always complicated, but with enough confidence after showing, last week, that they were returning from the break in good condition.
As soon as they started, they realized that it was not going to be easy at all since it was difficult for them to find offensive fluidity due to the strong all-field defense of the local team, and they were outmatched in the rebound under their own hoop, granting second chances that were opening a gap on the scoreboard.
But nothing is further from discouragement, it was achieved, through effort, to get closer to 5 points at the beginning of the second half, thanks to the increase in the defensive intensity of Diane. But the locals knew how to stop the reaction and regained control of the party.
Same script in the last quarter when he gave a last squeeze that turned out to be insufficient, closing the game with a deserved victory for the locals.
Highlight, despite the defeat, the attitude of the senior men, who were able to keep their heads high until the final moments.
