Ferchen John Thomson was a German-born industrialist born in 1872. 1897 reached in Dénia for commerce raisin, but after the arrival of his brother Enrique in 1900 started other businesses. In 1904 they became the pioneers of the toy industry in Denia thanks to its unbreakable drums, made in its metallurgy Hispano Alemana.
Juan Ferchen lived in the C / Sandunga, 80 and was married to Emilia Burmester.
