The Ministry of Health has opened an investigation into the head of traumatology at the Sagunto hospital, Eduardo López Vázquez, for a possible case of influence peddling. His department has been buying all surgical prostheses for years from the same supplier company, owned by his ex-wife. But this is not the first time it has happened. In 1998, López Vázquez and the heads of traumatology at the General Hospital and Doctor Peset were investigated for centralizing their assignments in another company also created by his relatives.
