The Mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, has met this week with representatives of the neighborhood associations of Deveses i Almadrava to convey the content of the conversation that he had previously held with the general director of the Coast and the Sea of the Ministry for Ecological Transition, Ana Mª Oñoro, about the project to regenerate beaches Denia.
The general director assured that the Deveses regeneration project is the most advanced and there are only a few details to resolve before starting the bidding process for the works.
As confirmed, the ministry will begin to tender the actions that have to be done on the coast, that is, the planned breakwaters and the contribution of sand to expand the beach strip. In this regard, Oñoro commented that the environmental impact statement is pending to extract the sand that will be used in the recovery of this beach from the seabed.
The Councilor for Ecological Transition, Maite Pérez, also participated in the virtual meeting with the representatives of the neighborhood associations.
