The Ministry of Equality and Inclusive Policies, directed by Mónica Oltra, has just put out to tender the contract for construction works of the CEEM and the CRIS "La Pedrera" of Dénia, included in the Pla Convivint de Infrastructures de Servicios Sociales 2021-2025 de the Generalitat.
The Center for Rehabilitation and Social Integration (CRIS) for people with chronic mental health illnesses will serve around 60 people, while the Specific Center for Chronic Mental Health Illnesses (CEEM) will have around 40 care places.
The base budget for this new construction, on land in Plana Est, 10, in the La Pedrera area, amounts to 6.277.938 euros. The tender for the execution of the project was announced last Friday and, if everything progresses correctly, the works are expected to begin in the summer, with an estimated duration of 2 years.
The plenary session of the Dénia corporation agreed in November to declare the works of the residence and day center for people with disabilities (CEEM and CRIS) of La Pedrera "of special social interest for the municipality". The Valencianist spokesman in the City Council of Dénia, Rafa Carrió, has celebrated that "this project so claimed is closer to being a reality thanks to the commitment and the powerful investment in social service infrastructures that are allocated to Dénia within the Pla Convivint, resources for mental health that are sorely lacking in a context like the current one”.
Regarding the tender for the construction of the second residence for the elderly, also included in the investments for Dénia in the Pla Covivint, it will be delegated to the City Council in the coming months, according to sources from the ministry.
