GDCU requires greater leadership to the mayor after the first six months of government

21 December 2015 - 16: 11

The coming end of the year is always time for local political parties, to take stock. And in an election year like we left behind, these balances give much of themselves. Pepa Font and Miguel Llobell, GDCU representatives of the coalition in the city of Denia, are still waiting for a change in the council stating that the government team is left.

Aí they passed during their traditional Christmas lunch with the press, in which informal and relaxed manner shared their impressions on the local news and changes that have occurred after the elections last May.

And among all, note that "It is necessary that the government team has the necessary level of vision to look great and create a future of work for our youth and improvement of our economy". For Pepa Font, get that is in the hands of the mayor, who demands "greater leadership capacity".

The coalition spokesman says "In these six months of government has shown a very low profile"And asked to give "a step forward" to lead all city projects, especially those "they have fallen in tray", such as the Creative City of Gastronomy UNESCO.

In this regard, both Font and Llobell are hopeful that the mayor and tourism council has all the sectors involved to implement this global Reconnaissance, who consider "very good for our economic future", plus "A bet that can help guide even the General Structural Plan, betting on local producers, and supporting the initiative to recover farmland in Dénia".

From GDCU they ask the government team "look big" everything surrounding the Creative City of Gastronomy and do not make mistakes as the transfer of the Tourist Office some municipal offices which, he says, they had to leave because they did not fit. While acknowledging that the current office is a too high cost for municipal coffers, Pepa Font expected to reconsider their decision not to move it to the old building of the Lonja, a space whose remodeling was raised to house the tourism in previous term but that the new administration has ruled in favor of building a museum del Mar.

Both Font and Llobell expect the government team "don't be poor in ambition" and bet significantly on gastronomy and tourism, since they consider that "People demand other types of proposals, and in Dénia we have opportunities that make us a top-level destination".

Apart from these criticisms, the coalition partners showed themselves collaborative with the government team to assess and support the projects they consider interesting for citizens, regardless of their origin and based on their quality.
