Font proposes to Grimalt to hold a public debate and compare their projects for Dénia

28 2023 April - 13: 27

The candidate for Mayor of Dénia for the Party, Pepa Font, has appeared this Friday before the media to defend himself against the accusations of the PSPV. The Socialists this week questioned the PP program, criticizing the project in the economic area of Font and denouncing that they were "selling smoke." The popular leader has wanted to respond to defend her proposals, but she has also thrown the gauntlet to Grimalt to hold a public meeting, where she will discuss each of the programs they have for Dénia.

The promise of reduce by 20% the taxes of the Dianenses that the PP announced was the trigger for all this mess. Vicent Grimalt, during the presentation of his economic program, accused the popular of wanting to deceive people. And it was not all there, because shortly after Paco Roselló, number 3 of the socialist candidacy and current councilor for the Treasury, shared a harsh opinion article in which he criticized the popular economic program along the same lines.

Font has been blunt when it comes to standing up for his project and has ensured that each of his proposals "are well measured and agreed upon", which only seek to "provide solutions to the problems of the neighbors".

The "smoke" of the PSPV, according to Pepa Font

What's more, the popular leader has appeared willing to question many of the projects undertaken by Grimalt's team and which, for Font, are selling smoke. One by one, he has listed more than a dozen of them, ranging from the new pavilion for 2000 people "which he has announced with an image of the Google Maps" to the promise of the new health center and police station of the National Police that do not yet exist.

She has been especially critical of the redevelopment of the Valgamediós square, showing the plan of the project that was promised and comparing it with the current square. "It has had to be done three times," Font stressed, this being "a tiny square, with no further complexity."

He has also pointed out that there is a great lack of information regarding the door-to-door garbage collection program and the use of organic containers. "There is a lot of improvisation and haste for such a complex project," says the popular leader, indicating that this contributes to Dénia being dirtier because by not knowing how to introduce the organic into the container, they leave it out.

The public parking lots "turned into mudslides", the demarcation with which "they have left the neighbors with their asses in the air", the "little support" for the festive associations and sports entities... Even the dialogue defended by the PSPV in His pre-campaign is in question for Pepa Font after the closure of Marqués de Campo unilaterally without consulting or trying to convince the merchants in the area.

The area of Social Welfare in question

The Social Welfare area, one of the banners of the PSPV government, has not escaped becoming a target of the PP either. It is one of the areas that the Socialists are most proud of, but Font has also wanted to bring up several shortcomings that in their day were promises and that, for the popular ones, are currently "smoke", such as the second residence for the elderly or the new Raquel Payá.

He has also shown his concern with the situation of the CDIAT, which is demanding space and which, according to the popular candidate, "Grimalt has not facilitated it."

Even "saying that taxes cannot be lowered and bragging about the remainder" is for Pepa Font selling smoke, since the popular leader considers that the job of city councils is not to accumulate money. "Municipalities are not banks."

The public debate proposal

"It is time to ask them to sit down and talk," he declared by surprise before concluding his speech. Pepa Font has asked that Vicent Grimalt appear with her in a public debate to find out "what he wants for the city".

"They govern for eight years and now present 25 proposals every day." "I want to know what plan they have," Font stressed, for which he has requested this public meeting with the socialist leader "to put the proposals of both on the table."

Pepa font is not an alternative.
He practices the same policy as his opponent.
We need a Republican City Hall.
A council that puts industry and agriculture.
    That promotes tourism and transportation.
    And support trade.
    For a tricolor town hall.
