This Tuesday the historic businessman from Dénia Pedro Reig died at the age of 70 due to complications derived from a COVID-19 infection.
She was born in Dénia into a family of merchants, owner of the emblematic building number 7 of Marqués de Campo that became Les Tendes Reig (today there is a bank in the place). Since 1980, Reig has been in charge of this store, making it a benchmark among sports shops. She, in turn, ran the Interesport store, located in street Cop.
He was a key piece in the employers of the city, being the president of the merchants of the center of Dénia, and the entire province. In fact, he was president for almost two decades of Facpyme, an Alicante trade association that included a large number of merchants from all over the province.
He was also interested in politics, coming to hold different positions with Alianza Popular, even being a councilor for the formation.
