It's official: we have a curfew

24 October 2020 - 14: 31

The president Ximo Puig has made an official statement a few minutes ago to announce the imminent application of new, more restrictive measures throughout the community to slow the spread of COVID-19.

The coronavirus has doubled the incidence in the Community during the last week. That is why the Government demanded new unitary measures throughout the State, which were not supported by all the members of the Interterritorial Council.

That is why it has decided not to wait for the rest of the communities and to move forward with the application of these new measures immediately. They come into force this morning, despite the fact that Puig assured in his appearance on Thursday that the citizens would be notified in good time.

From this morning until December 9, mobility is restricted from 00:00 to 06:00. The famous curfew is already a reality.

In that strip, only those people who go to or return from work and those who have to move due to force majeure may move on the street.

In addition, meetings are limited to a maximum of 6 people in both public and private spaces, between people who are not cohabitants. On the other hand, the gardens and parks may only be open until 22:00.

Regarding hotels and restaurants, the bars are closed again, so it can only be consumed sitting down, the tables will be for a maximum of 6 people and the establishments will close at midnight.

“It will be an effort, we know it. But what is the alternative? ", stressed Puig.

In the group of six people, are younger children also included?

Can you tell if children under one age are included in a group of 6? In other European countries, children under the age of 6 do not count in a group of six. Thank you
