The deadline for registration in the XI Quick Painting Contest Ciutat de Dénia, organized by the Association of Artists of the Marina Alta (ADAMA), in collaboration with Dénia City Council, closes on Thursday, June 12, 2025, as indicated in this year's call for applications. Registration can be completed by sending an email to adama.arte@gmail.com.
Any artist 16 years of age or older is welcome to participate. The chosen technique and theme are free. Participants can paint anywhere in the historic center and port of Dénia and must inform the organizers of their choice.
The supports of the works will have a minimum measurement of 50 centimeters and a maximum of 100 centimeters on either side. Each participant will provide their support and the necessary material to carry out their work, including the easel. Only one work per artist will be admitted.
The competition rules establish a first, second, and third prize of €1.000, €500, and €300, respectively; as well as a prize for the local artist, consisting of a trip to Formentera for two people sponsored by Baleària, and another prize for the regional artist, who will receive a €30 voucher for materials and a meal for two at a restaurant in the city, sponsored by Marina Color.
The winners will be selected by a jury composed of individuals connected to the art world. The objective evaluation criteria they will consider are technical and artistic quality, composition, creativity, and originality of the works.
