The Vito-UCMontgó is proclaimed Champion of the 57ª Volta a Tarragona

Embroidered performance of the Cycling Team Vita-UCMontgó in the Volta Ciclista to the Província de Tarragona composed of three stages, two in Route and one Individual Time Trial.

The first stage, of 80 kilometers, was marked by a flight in the 20 km of 15 runners among which were Vicente Martí, David Fajardo and Javier Almela, managing to reach the finish line and almost three minutes ahead of the pursuit peloton.

The second Stage was a hard chronoescalada of 4 km with an average slope of 2% from Riudecanyes to Castell d'Escornalbou, in which all runners managed to save without penalty in the provisional general.

The third stage, 91 km queen stage with the outstanding ascent to the 10'5 km Port of l'Albiol, was led by a split flight in two, with Vicentín ahead and Almela at 30 "in a second group that maintained the distances until the finish line where Vicente Martí won the stage victory, two minutes behind would reach the main squad with the rest of the runners.

The runners achieved a stage victory, the third; the General Team Victory and qualify as first and second Elite with Vicente Martí and David Fajardo respectively, and third 30 Master for Javier Almela.

The negative note of the volta was played by Xexo García who in the last stage suffered a spectacular fall, although fortunately without serious consequences but which prevented him from finishing the race.
