As a result of the storm announced by the weather reports for next week, the Galeón Andalucía prefers to be cautious and postpone its visit to Dénia, scheduled for November 23-27. "From Monday to Friday of next week it would be very difficult for us to get to Dénia, both due to the intensity of the wind and the direction," says Fernando Viota, director of operations and projects at Fundación Nao Victoria.
In a few days the new dates of the visit will be announced, which will most likely be for the first week of December. "We apologize for so much change, but our replicas are built in a way that they cannot navigate under these conditions and we have to prioritize the safety of both the ship and the crew," Viota points out. In this sense, Gabriel Martínez, captain-director of Marina Dénia He comments that “safety is a priority and these boats need very special treatment. We want the Galeón Andalucía to settle in our port, but the conditions to enjoy it must be the best”.
