El Strudel trap, a puff pastry filled with Iberian cheek and bacon, candied apple, creamy potato and truffle, parmesan and boletus ice cream presented by Entrearomas restaurant, has been chosen, by public vote, the best cover of the XV edition of the Dénia Tapas Route held from October 24 to November 17.

Óscar Domínguez and Julia Schirweit, owners of the establishment, have received, along with a commemorative plaque, a personalized outdoor stove, a gift from the Dianense company fire Spreading, and a tasting lunch or dinner courtesy of the restaurant Mena.

The awards ceremony has taken place, this morning, in the Plenary Hall of the City Council of Dénia with the presence of the mayor, Vicent Grimalt, Manolo and Frank Martí, from GuíaME Comunicació, organizer of the route, Diego Mena, representing the Association of Hospitality and Tourism Entrepreneurs of the Marina Alta (Aehtma), and representatives of collaborating companies.

El second prize of this XV Tapas Route, also chosen by public vote, has been for the Bonanotte restaurant because of its Shrimp Crispy Ravioli, a wonton pasta ravoli, stuffed with creamy shrimp with tandori sauce and wakame seaweed salad. Its owner, Jorge Lemos, has received a commemorative plaque of GuíaME Comunicació and the gift of dinner, hotel night and breakfast at the Hotel La Font d'Alcalà, in Alcalà de la Jovada.

El Aehtma award to the tapa chosen by a technical jury has been awarded to the restaurant Montava's corner for his plate Sea niu, a poached egg with hedgehog and golden loin on seafood cream, candied artichoke and crystal bread. The prize is endowed with a commemorative plaque and a gastronomic experience of haute cuisine for two people in a Dénia establishment.

Turismo Dénia recognizes in each edition the establishment that presents the best lid made with native product. This award has gone to the cafeteria Cinnamon, who prepared for this route a red wine dacsa de carrillada coca on a bed of mustard with fine herbs with tomato jam petals, floral micro mézclum and chili noodles.

As a novelty of this edition, GuíaME Comunicació has granted a Special prize, endowed with 300 euros, which has received The Marine port by its cover shrimp stuffed squid with boletus cream.

After the delivery of the prizes to the winning establishments, the prize draw has been held for the participating public who have filled in and handed in their passport with at least 15 punctuated covers. The winners are Kathryn Elaine Eden (tapas dinner for two at the first prize winning Entrearomas restaurant on the route); Lindsey Gray (tapas dinner for two at the Bonanotte restaurant, winner of the second prize on the route); Robert Bruhl (tapas for two in the Canela cafeteria, winner of the Dénia Tourism Award); Mª Dolores Pons (tapas dinner for two at the El Rincón de Montava restaurant, winner of the Aehtma award); Mercedes Tallada (winner of a dinner, hotel night and breakfast for two at the Hotel Los Angeles, a gift from Aehtma) and Nathalie Chabin (gourmet basket with local products given by the La Cata Gastronomic Peña).
