The Real Club Náutico de Dénia returns to celebrate the longest regatta of the Mediterranean

Next 13 on July will take place the 48º edition of the Diana Golden, the longest regatta in the Mediterranean. Coinciding with the end of the Parties Dénia, this event of cruise class boats in ORC estimates a dozen registered for this edition.

This regatta is organized by the Real Club Nautico Denia and has the collaboration of the Vela Federation of the Valencian Community and the City of Dénia. The route will be about 60 miles and will start from the RNCD to Cabo San Antonio, from there it will go to the Peñeta del Moro in Cullera and will return to the mouth of the port of Dénia.

Jaime Portolés, President of the Real Club Náutico Dénia, explained that it is about the regatta "more symbolic of the club and an event also very important for the city of Dénia". In addition, he wanted to highlight that "It is the test with more uninterrupted editions of the Mediterranean".

This competition has two trophies, the Gold Silver Diana Trophy that will be awarded to the winner in real time of this 48º edition. The Diana de Oro can be won by the owner who participates with the same boat and wins three consecutive times or five alternate times.

The Diana de Oro will begin with the official welcome dinner for all participants, on Friday 12 in July at the Banquet Hall of restaurant Balandros. On Saturday at 9: 30 hours will take place the pattern meeting, in which judges and organizing committee will explain the technical aspects of the race. At the 11: 00 hours will start the departure of the boats. The trophies will be delivered on Saturday at 00: 00 hours, if all participants arrive at port before the 23: 30 hours. Otherwise, the delivery will occur on Sunday 14 of July at 12: 00 hours.
