February 06 from 2023 - 22: 03

In a Casa del Pueblo filled to the brim, the militancy of the PSPV-PSOE de Dénia has approved this afternoon in an extraordinary assembly the candidacy with which he will attend the municipal elections on May 28. The single list submitted by the candidate, Vicent Grimalt, general secretary of the local group and current mayor of the city, was approved by the assembly. This is the first complete candidacy for the May municipal elections that is made public in Dénia.

Grimalt has defined the 20 people who will accompany him "in the new adventure to continue making the greatest transformation of Dénia in decades a reality" as women and men "prepared, involved, excited, representative of different sectors of society, honest and progressive" . A candidacy «so that that unstoppable Dénia does not stop. Because with desire, ideas and work, nobody beats us, "said the socialist leader.

The list for the May elections is made up of veterans of municipal politics, such as some of the councilors of the current government team (M. Josep Ripoll, Paco Roselló, Sandra Gertrúdix, Javier Scotto, Melani Ivars, Raúl García de la Reina, Pepe Doménech and Juan Sapena); militants of the Socialist Party of Dénia (Ana Ceballo, Juan Pablo Uribe, Pepa Reyes, Salva Bertomeu, Chantal Giner, Mike Kosok and Pepa Martí); and the new additions: Marta Gascó, Raquel Martín, Amanda Navarro, Miguel Ángel Martínez and René Miralles, people from outside the party who, in the words of Grimalt, "I have invited to collaborate with our future project for the city because they are people they love Dénia from the heart, involved in social, festive and associative life, and who have participated in the sectoral meetings from which the new government program was born.

The general secretary and candidate also had a few words of thanks for Maite Pérez, Óscar Mengual and Elisabet Cardona, also councilors in the current legislature, but "who have decided not to be part of the new list."

An "ambitious but realistic" new program

The extraordinary assembly has also unanimously approved the general lines of the electoral program for the municipal ones. This same week the final document will be submitted to the party executive for ratification.

Vicent Grimalt has highlighted the programmatic proposal that it is an "honest, realistic and ambitious" project, which draws on the philosophy of the roadmap "with which in 2015 the socialist government began to transform Dénia".

"We do not want to invent gunpowder, we do not govern by headline, nor do we campaign selling smoke with promises of doubtful feasibility," insisted the candidate for Mayor of Dénia.

The 2023-2027 program "gives continuity to this coherent and transformative project" which, for example, "has provided the city with more spaces for people, parks, squares and streets that they now walk and enjoy"; where citizen participation is "real, palpable and measurable" and historical problems are solved "with the new cleaning contract, 2.500 parking spaces public parking and free, urban planning for the future and with sense, etc».

But the new program assures that it also incorporates the ideas of the citizens that have been collected in the sectoral meetings, "because that has always been our best card: to listen and make ours the concerns and needs of the residents of Dénia."

Grimalt recalled that the nearly 9 million euros of European Next Generation funds confirmed for Dénia will allow the most ambitious actions to be carried out, such as the Bosc de Diana, "the great green lung of the city", or the classroom to implement the Degree of Gastronomic Sciences.

In short, the candidate has concluded, "it is a program that will once again captivate the public, which guarantees a good future in the city, includes the deficiencies that we have detected and continues to provide Dénia with good infrastructures and services, without leaving to work on large projects, promotion, job creation, etc».

We were never worse in Denia than with this disastrous mayor. The one who raised his salary in the first plenary session that had an absolute majority.
    SINVERG Ü ENZA !!!!
When are they going to stop all the motorcycles with free exhaust?

Shameful explanations today by the Mayor and town planning councilor at the Barrio de Les Rotes meeting to questions about the implementation of the telephone tower in Calle Peixos. They have not presented any legal argument to support its implementation. How is it possible that the people who manage us do not know what they are doing? We have been requesting to consult the file for three months without success. They hide information. A shame.
