The project to create a bar managed by the students of Raquel Payá will be presented at the Alicante Gastronomic fair

Els Magazinos will present three of its projects at the Alicante Gastronomic fair next Sunday, September 26, under the umbrella of the "Market for a Better World". Among them, Bar Inclou-me: Gastronomy and Sustainability with a social focus, a project in collaboration with the Raquel Payá Special Education School.

With this initiative, the aim is to create a bar, El Guiriguay, which will be managed by Raquel Payá's students from the Adapted Hospitality Professional Training. The project already started last year with the hospitality practices of several students and continued with the hiring of one of them. This 2020-21 course we have continued to advance, carrying out a new innovative project, a Dual Vocational Training adapted with special education students, something that did not exist until now, through a school calendar with 18 master classes in the Magazinos to complement the classes school officials.

The presentation in Alicante will be attended by Miquel Ivars, director of the educational center, as well as several students participating in the program, such as José Luis Martínez, Ane Bisquert Camacho, Vicente Bisquert Mengual, Pau Monjo Castella, Nolan Steve Peeters, Tania Martínez Rodado, Elena Vizcaya Pinedo or Yenifer Rojas Escobar.

In addition, Els Magazinos will also present two more gastronomic projects in Alicante. On the one hand, Cuina de Territori: A wave to the products (and producers) of the Marina Alta. And, on the other hand, it will hold a round table on producers, agriculture and the future of the hospitality industry.
