The unemployment data in Dénia last December left a positive development: a total of 51 people ceased to be part of the list of unemployed, although the overall number of unemployed people in the capital of the region is 4.945 people .
In the overall regional calculation, the Marina Alta closed the month of December with a decrease of 261 people compared to the month of November, leaving the total number of unemployed at 15.408 people.
The services sector has added more contracts with 195 people employed in the region; the number of women seeking employment declined in the last month of the year 138 and 123 of man. As for the type of contracts that were signed, the 91,7% were temporary and only 250 were permanent.
The Comisiones Obreras union asks for precaution in the face of this "apparent recovery" that is due to the Christmas campaign, and highlights the precarious employment, with temporary contracts and partial hours.
