The general deputy director of Planning and Management of Infrastructures and Means for Security of the Ministry of the Interior, Felipe del Pozo, announced today the mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, that the tender for the construction project of the new Dénia National Police station will be included in the 2019 budget of the Ministry of the Interior.
In the meeting held this morning in Madrid, which has also been attended by the Councilor for Citizen Security, Javier Scotto and the Councilor for Territory, Maria Josep Ripoll, the deputy director general has stated that prior to this step, the Dénia Town Hall must submit a plenary agreement in which the rejection of the initial project for the construction of a joint police station for the National and Local Police is reflected and it is clear, therefore, that the new infrastructure will house only the National Police Force station.
The representatives dianenses have been surprised to know this requirement, which was not mentioned in the meeting held in April 2018 with the then Secretary of State for Security. However, "This aspect will be resolved as soon as possible and the point of the agreement will be included in the ordinary plenary session of this month of February", the mayor assured.
