The shrimp with apple, roast fennel and suquet with which a Dénia restaurant triumphed in the Vinaròs National Contest

The Dénia restaurant Venta de Posa managed to win this week with the victory in the XIX National Contest of Cooking Applied to Vinaròs Shrimp. A total of 10 chefs competed in the improvised kitchen that was set up at the back of the Municipal Market to win the prized Llagostí d'Or 2022. Each chef prepared unique, innovative and, above all, avant-garde recipes to surprise a luxury jury headed by the cook and teacher Vanesa Bustos.

Regarding the origin of the participants, they came from Zaragoza, Alacant, Burriana, Alcossebre, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Vinaròs and Dénia. The Councilor for Promotion of the City and Tourist Interest, Marc Albella, highlighted that "every year the contest attracts the participation of chefs from all over the Spanish State, a fact that shows that the contest is consolidated and that for many chefs it represents a good opportunity to make themselves known."

The Llagostí d'Or 2022, with an award of €1.500, as we said, went to the creation of the chefs José Moreschi and Darwin José, from the Venta de Posa restaurant with the creation Prawn from Vinaròs with apple, roasted fennel and shrimp suquet .
