Hospital HLA San Carlos de Denia has launched an important plan for the renovation and improvement of its facilities. In the last year, the center has invested more than 2 million euros in the reform of its different areas, including the Pediatrics, Maternal and Child Units, Dental and Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology, as well as in the incorporation of new technologies for the diagnosis and treatment.
Among the improvements made by the center is the creation of a new Pediatric Unit focused on the well-being of children and their families, which has two fully equipped consultation rooms, independent waiting rooms and a play area so that the experience of the little ones in the hospital more bearable. For its part, the new Maternal and Child Unit is made up of the areas of Pediatrics and Gynecology and Obstetrics, with four pediatricians and five gynecologists. This last area has two consultation rooms equipped with state-of-the-art ultrasound machines and spaces adapted to the comfort of patients.
“The continuous investment and improvement of our facilities is part of the DNA of the HLA Group. With this ambitious reform plan, we have created more specific, functional and modern areas at the service of our patients and with the aim of offering the best guarantees for prevention, diagnosis and treatment”, explains Gerson Morales, hospital manager.
The new Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology Unit is made up of a multidisciplinary team of 5 specialists who cover 24-hour emergencies, general traumatology, as well as minimally invasive orthopedic and surgical treatments and those of high medical complexity. The unit also has the support of the Neurosurgery team and works in coordination with the Advanced Physiotherapy, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Nutrition units.
With the reform, HLA San Carlos Office has expanded its Surgical Area adding a total of three operating rooms equipped to perform complex surgeries and an endoscopy room. It has also modernized the Diagnostic Imaging Area, available 24 hours a day and fully digitized, as well as its 34 consultation rooms, façade and common areas of the hospital.
In addition, the center has invested in new state-of-the-art technologies, such as a new computerized axial tomography (CT) system, a new ultrasound machine, a new motor for nasal endoscopic surgery, and a recumbent cycle for stress Doppler echocardiography.
These reforms and investment represent another step in the growth of the HLA San Carlos hospital and in its commitment to the population of the Marina Alta.
