El Hospital de Dénia, managed by the Ribera Health Group, has set up a breastfeeding room on the Maternity hospital floor for all those professionals who are breastfeeding.
The space is equipped with two electric extractors, two armchairs and a refrigerator so that breastfeeding employees can access the room at any time during their workday. The space also has information on how to properly store and identify milk.
In addition, an additional electric pump has been purchased so that mothers admitted to the plant do not have to leave their room and can extract milk with greater comfort, together with their baby.
The Dénia Hospital is a center in which 70% of the professionals are women and the average age is 41 years.
