A giant step was the one given by the Garbi Dénia on his way to his qualification for the final phase, with the win obtained in Altea. In the Garganes pavilion of the Marina Baixa district, the dianenses won by 19 at 21 at CB Villa Blanca.
The match started with a slow pace and with both teams committing too many mistakes. Many lost of ball, launches badly selected caused that 10 minutes arrived with a very low number (2-2).
Little by little the teams were finding goal but the equality was maximum, neither of them managed to put 2's advantage in the score. In the final section of the first part the dianenses supporting themselves in a great defense and thanks to the stops of their goalkeeper, they managed to go to the break with an 8 to 11 on the scoreboard.
Bad start of the second half
The second part began with the guys who directs David Salanova, excessively nervous, returned the errors of the beginning of the game and this time, Villa Blanco knew how to take advantage, by tying the match in the first five minutes.
At that moment, the Dianense coach reacted and moved the bench, little by little the team promoted their game and was taking control of the game. In the middle of the second half, the dianenses acquired the maximum advantage in the score of 5 goals.
The Alterians, far from surrendering, increased their defensive intensity and this forced a great effort to the dianenses who had trouble scoring. The men of Salanova knew how to hold the advantage in the score thanks to the good work in defense and the great contribution of the goal. At the end of the regulation time, the 19 scoreboard arrived at 21.
The Garbi Dénia closes the first round of the league with six wins of six games played so they strengthen as leader of this southern group of 1 Autonomous.
