The Dénia Jazz Festival celebrates its XNUMXth edition, and as in previous years, it remains faithful to the approaches that have made it consolidate as one of the leading jazz events in the Valencian Community.

Once again, the offer of the Dianense Festival continues as simple as it is effective, presenting a proposal that includes the best Jazz in a program that combines both Valencian, European and North American musicians and maintaining its popular vocation, with the same entry prices as in its first edition, seven years ago, and counting on a loyal audience that year after year supports this proposal made by and for true Jazz fans.

In this XNUMXth edition, the Festival, as in previous years, combines quality and variety in its program, maintaining the extraordinary enclave of the Torrecremada Gardens in an edition that promises to be very special after the extraordinary effort involved in the XNUMXth edition held in the midst of the pandemic. made clear the strong popular support that the Festival has but also the great commitment to live music from all parties involved in its organization.

In short, a VII installment of the Festival that, as in previous years, will undoubtedly leave more than satisfied the many Jazz fans who have made this event an unavoidable appointment in their summer agendas and who, once again, promises to leave the High bar for future editions.

Festival tickets maintain their price of 12 euros (in advance) and 15 euros (at the box office) and will be
available both online at www.instanticket.es and in person at the usual points of sale, which remain the same as in previous editions: the Ale Hop stores in Marqués de Campo and CC La Marina, the Casa Benjamín restaurant and El hotel Chamarel.

Tickets can also be purchased at the box office of the venue on concert days from 20:30 p.m.

As in the VI edition of the Festival, the organization will guarantee the necessary security measures in accordance with current regulations in reference to COVID-19.

All concerts will be held at 22:30 p.m. and the venue will be accessible from 21:00 p.m. You can enjoy the catering service (food / drink).

Mediterranean Gypsy Jazz Reunion

The first concert of the Festival will be the 5 August with Mediterranean Gypsy Jazz Reunion. In it, some of the most respected musicians of the Gypsy Jazz fans of the joyful virtuosity of Jazz manouche will meet and delight. Among the members, it is worth highlighting the violinist and singer Eva Slongo, collaborator of musicians of the caliber of Birelli Lagrene, Didier Lockwood, Sebastien Guiniaux and many others, whose talent has made her one of the figures that stand out strongly on the international scene within of this style.

Along with her, other extraordinary musicians of great solvency: the guitarists Jorge Riera and Fabián Barraza who are in their own right two of the most prominent guitarists in Gypsy Jazz in Spain as well as the double bass player César Cortés and the drummer Carles Pérez, also performers. of high quality and recognized prestige in their respective instruments.

The International Classic Jazz All Stars feat Rebecca Kilgore

The second concert will take place on Thursday, 12 August, in the Torrecremada Gardens. The mythical American vocalist Rebecca kilgore will perform, at this festival, his first concert in Spain.

Kilgore is undoubtedly one of the great ladies of active Jazz with an impressive career that has made her one of the most respected voices in international jazz. Along with her, other heavyweights of traditional Jazz such as drummer Ed Metz JR, trombonist Dan Barret, saxophonist Enric Peidro, and pianist
Richard Busiakiewicz, complete a line-up that has performed in the best national and international festivals, has several recordings and will flood the Torrecremada Gardens with a Jazz of the best invoice, as impeccable and elegant as it is contagious.

Guillaume Nouaux Threesome

French drummer Guillaume Nouaux He is one of the best European percussionists today and one of the most renowned specialists in the language of the great drummers of the swing era. With a spectacular technique and accompanied by his trio with whom he has recently (2020) been awarded the award for the best Jazz album by the prestigious Hot Club du Jazz du France.

Together with the brilliant clarinetist Gerome Gatius and the stride piano specialist Alain Barrabes, the three musicians will travel from France to offer, the Thursday August 19, a spectacular, exciting concert steeped in New Orleans' best swing and jazz tradition in which Guillaume Nouaux is a world authority.

Arturo Serra Quintet

The vibraphonist Arthur SerraValencian by birth and Malaga by adoption, he is one of the best jazz musicians in Spain. Throughout his more than three decades of career, Serra has shared the stage, recorded and accompanied some of the most important figures in international Jazz.

Serra will present, 26 August , to the Dianense public, his new album entitled all good and he will be accompanied by an exceptional group with Antonio González on sax, Juan Galiardo on piano, Miquel Álvarez on double bass and Santi Colomer on drums.
